Ho Chi Minh City
You can be here in November for about €349, 4 days, direct.
Why now
Good time in November: 31°C days, 17 rainy days, fares below average.
The dry season is hot but reliable; the rainy months bring short, violent afternoon storms that flood streets for an hour and then clear. Tet closes the city for a week, and the run-up to it is the one time the traffic is worse than usual.
Best months here: January, November, December. Daytime highs, sea temperature and rainy days from three years of Open-Meteo reanalysis; a rainy day is one with at least 1 mm of rain, which is the WMO threshold and not the same as "it drizzled".
The place

Ho Chi Minh City, still Saigon to most of its residents, is the commercial engine of Vietnam: motorbike rivers, rooftop bars, French colonial leftovers around District 1 and a Chinese quarter in Cholon that runs on its own rhythm. It is louder, hotter and faster than Hanoi, and it suits people who want food, nightlife and a base for the Mekong.
What you can do

Where to stay · neighbourhoods
