Ibiza
You can be here in November for about €672, 3 days, direct.
Why now
Prime time in November: 20°C days, dry, sea 20°C, fares below average.
The club season runs from late spring to early autumn and fills the island's rooms and roads; June and September have the same sea, open beaches and a more manageable island. Winter is quiet and many places close, but Dalt Vila and the northern villages stay open.
Best months here: June, September, October. November is not one of them — the label above measures the month against a fixed bar, not against the rest of the year here. Daytime highs, sea temperature and rainy days from three years of Open-Meteo reanalysis; a rainy day is one with at least 1 mm of rain, which is the WMO threshold and not the same as "it drizzled".
The place

Ibiza is two islands in one: the club circuit around Playa d'en Bossa and Sant Antoni, and an older one of a walled hilltop town, pine-covered coves, hippy markets and a rural north where the noise does not reach. It suits people who know which of the two they want; the walled town and the north work out of season, the clubs only in it.
What you can do
- 01Walk up through Dalt Vila's ramparts to the cathedral in the late afternoon, then dinner on a terrace below.
- 02Take the boat from Ibiza Town to Formentera's Ses Illetes, 30 minutes to an hour, for the clearest water.
- 03Swim at Cala Salada, Cala Xarraca or Benirràs, where drums play at sunset on Sundays.
- 04See the Puig des Molins necropolis museum, Punic tombs cut into the hill below Dalt Vila.
- 05Eat bullit de peix at a fish restaurant on the coast, then flaó, the mint and cheese tart, after.
Where to stay · neighbourhoods
Stay in Ibiza Town or Santa Eulària for a first visit and hire a car for the coves; the club hotels of Playa d'en Bossa and Sant Antoni are for one thing only.
Unusual things
- ◦Sa Caleta's Phoenician settlement on a headland near the airport, with a red-cliffed beach and a fish restaurant below.
- ◦The Ses Salines salt pans on the road to the southern beaches, worked since Carthaginian times, with flamingos in winter.
- ◦Es Vedrà, the rock rising off the south-west coast, seen from the cliff path above Cala d'Hort in the evening.

Good to know
Summer rooms and rentals are scarce and the island's roads are dangerous late at night; book early and do not drive after a club.
